Alla, MIR Café’s chef, was fortunately invited to the cookery workshop of banquet cuisine expert of Saint-Petersburg. The milky pork (less the bone) stuffed with tongue, ham and pistachio, lamb hock, fruit plate as a dessert. Chefs from the whole Volga region will be able to perfect their skills of “wedding cuisine” for a few days. Actual trends of cookery, new dishes and serving issues give birth to a premium class chef. So far, workshops for your wedding table will be held on July.

MIR Hotel’s special guest – Mike Tyson from Ghana

Heavy-weight boxer, multiple world ring champion – Ibrahim Labaran, born in ancient African country of Ghana, stayed in MIR Hotel. The champion of Africa, having 15 fights in his sports records, as 8 of them were won by K.O. He became an opponent for Alexey Solovyov in Professional Boxing Tournament, which was timed to the Nationhood Day of the Chuvash Republic.

The boxer also became our chef’s favorite. All day long, as Ibrahim trained, she cooked the meat only on her special recipe, laced with unique spices transforming the common taste into some bright discovery for any gourmet! Ibrahim always ordered three plates of meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Just before leaving, he took the recipe and some spices from our chef – for his mother, he said.

6 in the morning, Labaran left for training, 8 a.m., while the main staff barely drags feet to work, he’s already here, tired of his extremely long jog, waiting for the usual three-plated meat and discussing the schedule with his coach.

Before the departure, our famous guest invited his African friends which study at Chuvash State University. He didn’t forget about those who were waiting in his own Ghana and bought many souvenirs to them as well. Also, Ibrahim asked for the same room and meat, if he ever returned to Cheboksary again.

World is so huge, and it’s always amazing when people from all over the world come to stay in our apart-hotel. And they’d always like to come again. Worldwide

 
Mir Café has got the first place for “The best fish plate of Easter” nomination.
Year after year there is a special “Easter miracle” competition which is held as part of the Easter celebration.

For now, it had already been the tenth time for it to take place under the roof of MTV-Center where quite vast assortment of original cuisine was offered. There were huge amounts of Easter cakes, meat, fish plates and colored eggs.

We decided not to participate with “restaurant hits”, but to make any dish a delightful dainty for family dinner.

Italian Restaurant MYA offered the goat-fish baked with Atlantic salmon and covered in Parmesan cheese. Also there were baked quails and ducks stuffed with prune and pistachio with the leek housing.

Mir Café chef followed the best traditions of Easter meals preparation. She cooked some Easter pies and cakes under the covering of whipped cream.

“Crown dish” turned out to be the sturgeon stuffed with salmon and pike perch. It was assumed to be an absolute winner as the guests had purchased it almost instantaneously, as a main adornment of the meals.
